I am a 28 year-old university and college graduate who can't seem to pin down what it is I want to do.
I have a degree in Sociology - Anthropology with a concentration in Linguistics. I have taken the Graphic Design-Print, Public Relations Practitionner and Media communications programs in college and am now enrolled in the Social Media program. Until recently, my plan had been to pursue a masters degree but the opportunity to study social media fell into my lap and (thankfully) it's something my work is willing to cover the cost of.
I currently work at a not-for-profit organization where I am the communications and projects officer. I oversee the development, launch and tracking of public education and awareness campaigns. I respond to all media enquiries and interview requests, as well as create new educational print materials. All of which can be overwhelming but I work in an office of very friendly and supportive women and we all work pretty well together.
I created this blog as part of a class assignment and will be continually updating it throughout the course, and potentially following thereafter.
